Agate Meaning

Agate is a gorgeous variety of banded Chalcedony that is commonly used as a gemstone in yoga jewelry and mala beads. The name “Agate” comes from where these stones were first discovered in the Achates River in Sicily, Italy. There are several different types of Agate. The most frequent colors you will find of this stone are grey, white, brown, blue, red, orange, black, and yellow.
